The goal for the Building Hope Scholarship foundation is to raise money to provide a scholarship for a child, or children who due to their parent’s financial situation, pursuance of further, do not have the opportunity to attend a high quality preschool.

Money will be raised through donations to fund the child’s tuition for the year. The foundation will continue to raise money for the duration of the child’s attendance at the school for up to five years or until they go to kindergarten. The Building Hope Scholarship foundation will work together with Oak Village Academy to provide the child with a preschool program that they could not afford elsewhere.

Money will be raised through donations to fund the child’s tuition for the year. The selection process for the Building Hope Scholarship starts with an application. Parents who believe they qualify for the scholarship can fill out an application and submit it to the board of directors for the Building Hope Scholarship. Once all applications are received, an interview process will take place. Select families who most meet the standards that have been set by the Building Hope Scholarship foundation will have an interview(s) with at least one of the board of directors. Once the interview process is complete, a family will be chosen to be granted the Building Hope Scholarship and can then begin attending Oak Village Academy.

The purpose of the Oak Village Academy Building Hope Scholarship is to award tuition for childcare for a family in need in the community.

Scholarships will be awarded on an annual basis and disbursed in monthly payments to Oak Village Academy for the total amount awarded in the scholarship for the family. The scholarship will be reevaluated every six months for ongoing approval of funds. If the family that is awarded the scholarship has an income increase while being awarded the scholarship, they are required to inform Oak Village Academy of this income change within three days of the income change.

Families that are chosen and awarded the Oak Village Academy Building Hope Scholarship must adhere to all Oak Village Academy policies and procedures set forth in the Family Handbook and at the school.
